DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING?

Not at all! We provide all the basics; however, if you would like you may bring your own personal products. Those who wear contact lenses bring your case with contact solution.

WILL I BE CLAUSTROPHOBIC?

Many times those with claustrophobia consistently report having a pleasant experience while floating. Once inside the tank, you are able to lose awareness of the walls around you and this allows you to rest in an experience of formless spaciousness. As well, you remain in total control of the experience and are able to keep the door open or the lights on if you choose. In addition, our float room is SUPER spacious measuring at: length 94", width 52", height 88". Meaning... a 6ft. 10 in. person could fit just fine!

WHAT IF I DROWN?

Not possible! Our salty water is to thank for that. Some people fall asleep, but the water is so buoyant you stay afloat. The worst that can happen is getting woken up by a bit of salt water in your eyes.

HOW IS THE WATER KEPT CLEAN?

Our float room uses a sophisticated 1-micron dual bag/cartridge filter system that is certified specifically for the float industry. It uses 2-UV Bulbs and Ozone Water Treatment to sterilize the air and inside walls of the float tank. The filtration system is powered by an industrial strength magnetic pump that can withstand the harsh and dense saltwater environment. Last but not least, our filtration system has an integrated auto-dosing pump that dispenses 35% Hydrogen Peroxide (H202) into the water as needed. In addition to the previously mentioned methods of sanitizing the float room water, every month we also take a sample of the water and send it off to a certified laboratory to get tested and thus guarantee the cleanliness of our float room.

CAN I BRING A FRIEND?

Absolutely! At the time we only have 1 float room BUT we could alternate you with our infrared sauna service or the person waiting can hang out in our super cool meditation/hang out room.

CAN I FLOAT IF I AM ON MY MENSTRUAL CYCLE?

There is no contraindication for floating during this time of the month. However, to maintain our float room as clean as possible and prevent possible accidents from leaking of tampons we DO NOT allow for our customers to float during their menstrual period.

I AM PREGNANT CAN I FLOAT?

Most definitely! During the 2nd and 3rd trimester floating is said by many to provide relief from the stress and strain of pregnancy by allowing your body to float in a weightless environment. Be sure to consult with your doctor before coming to float. Within the 2 weeks prior of delivery date we ask that you DO NOT float because of the risk of spontaneous labor and "water breaking" in the our float room.

***Please bring a letter from physician allowing you to participate in float therapy.**

HOW EARLY SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

We highly recommend arriving 15 minutes prior to your appointment. Especially, if this is your first time to allow for consent forms and orientation to our spa.

WHAT IF I DO NOT LIKE FLOATING OR NOT SATISFIED WITH MY FLOAT?

If you are unhappy with your experience please let us know. We want to make sure to provide a great service to all and make our therapies accessible to all.

WHAT IF I GET SCARED OR "FREAK OUT" DURING MY FLOAT?

It is true that floating can bring about a certain degree of discomfort. This can happen for two reasons:
1. We can become conditioned to the amount of distraction and stimuli around us, and when this is removed it can in the beginning feel unfamiliar and uncomfortable
2. When we are freed from this distraction and stimuli we are creating space for other experiences to present themselves. If you do feel discomfort, we would recommend focusing on your breathing and remaining with the experience to your degree of tolerance. Of course, you remain in control, and can exit the tank and end your float at any point.

DO I HAVE TO SHOWER BEFORE & AFTER MY FLOAT?

Showering before your float session commences is imperative to remove all body oils, perfumes, dirt etc. from the skin. Along with cleansing as much as possible to maintain the integrity of the water. If you typically enjoy hot showers we highly recommend taking a luke warm shower because once in the tank although our water is 93.5 degrees Fahrenheit your will feel as if it is cold. Showering after is to remove salt that will be on your skin prior to getting dressed.

HOW LONG CAN I FLOAT FOR?

The most common amount of time is 60 minutes. However, if you would like to increase your float time, we could totally work with that!
You can inquire about extended length floats by calling, texting or visiting us the center, and we will be happy to discuss this with you!

WILL MY SKIN WRINKLE AND PRUNE?

Not only will your skin not get wrinkled and pruney, but the epsom salt will leave your skin feeling smooth and soft. We do recommend continuing to drink plenty of water throughout the rest of the day as your body will absorb the Epsom Salt (magnesium sulfate), which is a good thing!

SHOULD I EAT BEFORE OR AFTER MY FLOAT?

If you do eat prior to your float we recommend it not be within the hour and ideally something "light". Additionally, attempt to avoid caffeine during this timeframe.

SHOULD I SHAVE OR WAX?

As long as you will have let 12-24 hours pass since your wax/shave. If done closer to your appointment you risk having the salt water sting your skin!

I HAVE A CUT OR WOUND CAN I FLOAT?

Ouch! Although we are sorry you have an injury we will not allow you to float for a couple of reasons. First, it is not hygienic or responsible of us to allow those with open wounds to float in respect for other customers safety. Second, not only will it BURN you will have a completely painful experience. Typically paper cut size wounds are ok and we can apply petroleum jelly preventing the sting from the water.

I HAVE MEDICAL HISTORY OF... DO I NEED PHYSICIAN CLEARANCE?

We don't recommend float therapy for those with uncontrolled medical conditions or diseases that need constant physician supervision; such as, epileptics whose epilepsy is not under medical control, for people under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, those with infectious disease, open skin wounds, or those with suicidal tendencies and/or depression.

***In any case if you have a doubt or concern please see your physician prior to floating. Those with any of the above medical conditions will be required to have a physician letter to present for their appointment.***

I DYED, HIGHLIGHTED, OR TINTED MY HAIR RECENTLY CAN I FLOAT?

If it has been less than 72 hours since your hair color treatment you will not be allowed to float. Our 72 hour mark is a guide but can vary amongst person. The better rule of thumb is if when you shower your hair still "bleeds" hair dye then PLEASE let us know so we can reschedule you at a later time. Additionally, anyone with unnatural red hair or other vibrant colors might not be allowed to float. The reason behind all this is to keep our water as pure as possible. Once tainted it takes vast amount of work and money to clean up a tinted tank and water. Also, if you do damage our tank and water with hair dye we will bill you for the cost which is about $1500. This is included in our consent and we highly advise to be sincere when filling out.
